For Bedroom Eyes.Writing love making/sex scenes for your stories.

Hi everyone.Andy here with a topic thats been in the back of my mind for a bit and I hope its okay to do a discussion on it.

Basically I want to know how most of you great author's out there write the well you know (blushes) sex scenes for your stories if you include them.

Basically how do you devlop them and work out what happens.Do you go personal experince or try to create something that the reader's will overtly enjoy. Does the type of sex influence your thinking. Please share advice and thoughts so that others authors like myself can learn how to do it if you pardon the pharse right.

Look foward to hearing your thoughts.

Andy (andone)

Delete I'm really not comfortable writing the erotic parts. But I've done so from time to time, just to take a walk outside of my comfort zone. I'm always afraid that I'll give too much of myself away or even present something that will give the wrong impression of me. Face it. I write SciFi/Horror. My brain is dark enough. *winks* But, when I do write it I use a mix of the "love" scenes from movies, a dash of porno for spice and a teaspoon of personal experience. Frankly what I'm more interested in is the thoughts and feelings that the characters have during the scene. With one exception. Sometimes, it just requires a good, desperate feral fucking. *Beams*

Delete It is based primary on experience. I am writing a piece that I will publish in the future about that very subject. If you haven't actually experienced sex in detail with more than one woman, your view is 1 dimensional instead of 6 dimensional.

Delete I can't really help you there Andy as I have great trouble when it comes to writting sex scenes. I become very self concious and usually end up scrapping whatever it was a part of.
I did try to improve my attitude to this by trying to write a purely (hopefully) erotic peice but I havn't got up the nerve to publish it yet even though JP was kind enough to read it over for me and was quite kind about it.
Maybe, eventually
