great story! the Sun Tzu and Austen quotes (P&P, Emma) are a lovely addition. I appreciate the 'noble' characters. I'm tired of slamming of RW, AD, MW, etc. in other stories. thank you.

You are an excellent writer and I dare say this is one of the best stories I've ever read. I couldnt put it down, and enjoyed every moment. I hope you continue to write, and thank you for letting me into your world. Best wishes.

My congratulations!

This story rocks my socks. I love how Snape shows up, ignores Harry's bloodthirsty rage and starts lecturing about dementors. I can so picture it and it's hysterical. I can just seen Snape wrapped up in his teaching robes standing in the fog with dementors all around, and being put out that he had to be there to correct Potter's idiocy once again.

This story is really brilliant! Ever since I started reading the first chapter, I couldn't stop reading. The complexities and developments of the characters, plot and pacing are well thought out and analyzed. The references to Sun Tzu's book "The Art of War" to the current war happening in the story make the situation more relevant and realistic. Its refreshing to read a story that includes a larger perspective that relates to what really happens in a war, rather than be limited to Harry Potter's point of view. I also love, especially, how Snape and Hermione really stay consistently in character, while at the same time, I really enjoy the author (sylvanawood)'s interpretations of what their characters can be. Their conversations are so intriguing and fun! I feel as if they came out of the world and became real human beings. Great, great job!

Love this story. Glad to see Hermione and Severus getting together even if it is only a few minutes at a time. A little frustration is good for the soul! (he,he)

I am so glad you didn't marry Severus off! I was so worried. I love this story.
Author's Response: Thank you. Now, would I do such a thing? ;)

I love Jane Austen and am so gladto see you merging some of my favorite books together!! I cannot wait to see what develops. Great job!!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! There'll be a few more Emma quotes, but I won't say more. :)

Excellent story, you should also consider posting at The Petulant Poetess and Ashwinder.
Author's Response: Thank you. Apart from here, I'm posting on OWL, Ashwinder and ff.net.

Author's Response: It does, doesn't it? Let's hope she gets over it.

Thanks for keeping the Malfoys in character!
How long will Hermione last without telling Severus?
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you think they are in character. :)
She's stubborn, as we know. We shall see.

Are you kidding me? And you put in author's note that no one would review or read this? It's under top 10 favs and longest series and I've noticed that you put yourself as a favorite story. LOL!!
Author's Response: You seem to be a bit confused here, or maybe just want to troll. In a total of seven series, it's not really a great surprise to find this under the top ten. Series, apparently, aren't widely used, and thus, this being the longest doesn't say much either. So much to the series. Now to the story. I can't recall saying in the author's notes that the story isn't reviewed widely. I may have responded to a reviewer, since there have been several asking why this isn't reviewed more, but these are responses, not the authors' notes. It's not a popular story, that's why. What I said in the authors' notes is that this will be finished, whether someone reads it or not. And I certainly haven't put myself up as favourite author.

I liked this story, it was intriguing and had a bit of mystery and certainly deception. You're not done writing, are you?????
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm not done for a long time, there's a lot more to come.

This is horrible. Is it really Snape that is going around killing everyone? Why is he being seen and reported on? Is this some kind of smear campaign? My Snape is a good Snape. At least the raid at the Weasleys's home ended with the capture of 2/3 of the DE strike force.
Author's Response: It is horrible. It will get worse, before it can get better. I hope you'll stick around. :)

I've just read the Master of Deception series, up through this chapter, and I love it! I like that you gave Flitwick such an interesting family history, and have spent time developing the character of the new DADA prof. Is Perry Price actually Severus Snape, though? I noticed the PP/SS parallel, the fact that Price is one letter short of being Prince, and that Price got angry when Levicorupus was used against him. Keep up the excellent work on this story!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I can tell you that you will learn all about Perry Price, but more I can't tell you. The next chapter will be posted soon. :)

This Price guy keeps sounding like Snape at times when he is caught off guard. I know he is supposed to be a different person, not related and so forth, but am I really off base?
Author's Response: I am glad I can keep you guessing. :D And thank you for leaving me a review!

Read to ch 12 on your live journal and I must say I am hooked! You have done a great service to Severus with this story. As a fervent Severus supporter I stand, clap and say "Bravo!!!" I cannot wait to read this story to its end.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! The lj chapters aren't complete yet, they need beta-reading, and I made some adjustments, but I had to get them out there before DH. :)

I've added this story to my favorites and I hope you continue to finish it!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! :D I have every intention of finishing this, no matter what happens in canon. I won't adapt it to new canon either, since it would mix up my plot. Unless there is something in real life that prevents me from doing it, this will be finished.

This story gets more interesting which each new chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! :D I'm glad you still find it interesting.
Date: 02/20/2007 07:15 am Title: A Different Perspective
It seems that you just might have something there. I just can't believe that Dumbledore did not have any idea that Snape would have to kill him (if he really is dead). Great insight!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! :) There are just too many hints, that Dumbledore and Snape kept each other informed about important things. Harry always misinterprets Snape's motives.

Interesting chapter. I really liked Dudley's new girlfriend. Oh, and I'm quite curious about what is in that trunk of Lily's. Bit surprised about Petunia being so open with Hermione - would she really tell so much to someone "filthy"?
Author's Response: Thank you. I like to think that Petunia is so confused about Dudley's rebellion that she isn't quite herself. And she'll be rid of Harry for good soon, so maybe she's a bit less nasty as usual.
