Cloak: Cloak

Mazzy
Review: I didn't really get a pairing from this, but since you asked in yoru ANs, my vote would be SS/RL. I does sound like it could be describing two different people's garments, and those are the two my brain gets when I read this - and I'm sure it helps that I like SS/RL lol

Author's Response: My first slasher. =) This only tells me that it's open to interpretation. =)

Review: The beloved is the man he could have become when he was still a boy with genius and hope? This was... I can't describe it. The cloak was so multi-faceted, so rich, yet so simple, redolent of Severus. I cannot do it justice, but I can thank you!

Author's Response: OOH - Thank you. I've never had a reader think Severus is the beloved!

Review: "Voicing the unspeakable to those who refuse to hear"
Beautiful line - and I don't want to think who the beloved would be after that line. :-(

Author's Response: TY--Awe hugs you.

Review: I'll say that it's Lily, but if I go for slash, then let's make it Regulus just to be different.

I'm in love with the imagery, by the way.

Author's Response: Thanks! Lily works. So would Albus, and that wouldn't necessaruily make it slashy.

Review: ~sigh~ His beloved? How about Dumbledore after the fall from the astronomy tower? That way I don't have to think the unthinkable.

Author's Response: Yes could be AD. Could be Lily.

I wrote this before book 5.

Review: This was really remarkable. I liked the imagery you used, and it certainly fits Snape's personality in all its facets that he would use his cloak in exactly this way.

Author's Response: thank you! This was an exersize in imagery for me

sylvanawood
Review: I like the first one best, it is very good. The others are great, too, but the first is special, IMO.
The beloved: could be anyone from any SS/ship, unless you mean it to be death.

Author's Response: OOH I like how you think....

Tales of Snape
Review: Can I use the morning after the night before as an excuse for not being able to work it out?

Author's Response: =) sure. it's just fan fiction. Folks seem to think Lily fits. But when I wrote it I didn't have a victim in mind

Cloak: Cloak

Prof M McGonagall
Review: I liked the imagery and how each section showed a different aspect of Snape's personality. The last section does leave one with questions. At first I thought that Snape was dead, but then if only the owner can approach the cloak, that wouldn't quite fit, would it?

Author's Response: you are correct, it is not Snape who is dead in the end.

Review: I love the ambiguity, the way so many words mean so many things, all mingling and meshing so poetically. The overall picture of love and loss and lingering devotion is achingly sad and so, so beautiful. Really great work :)

Is it Lily?

Author's Response: I wrote it with ambiguity. But I think Lily fits very nice. It could be Hermione, as i am an SS/HG shipper. It could be Dumbledore =).

My teacher told us we had to find a poem that had symbolism in it so I chose yours. Hope you don't mind!

I loved it!

Very nice--makes a good metaphor for Snape, I especially like the last stanza.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. CLoak is not a popular piece of mine, but it is favorite of mine. I wrote it on a plane trip. Glad you liked it!
