I can't believe that everyone was against Hermione when she broke things off with Ron and since when does everyone start calling her Mione in their fics? I've noticed it in several.
Author's Response: Yes, Ron, Harry, and Ginny were all upset. Ron?understandably so. Harry, as we'll see more later, is having a bit of a hard time adjusting to postwar life. Right now he thinks that everything should be happy and perfect now the war is over. He lost so much that anything that does make him happy, he wants to hold onto it. Like the friendships between himself, Ron, and Hermione. The trio. If anything threatened that, it would shake him up a bit. And Ginny's just being the protective sister (of any of them she has the worst reason for being mad if I do say so myself!).
I'm not sure how long the 'Mione thing has been around. I used it there because it is common in general for people who are close or intimate to shorten a name or call them by a nickname. You'll see other fics that have developed *fanon* nicknames for characters. I thought it would be appropriate for Ron to call Hermione that. However, I guarantee you that Severus Snape will not be using "Mione" whatsoever! =)

HA! Hermione's just a genius! That's just so Snape-like to think pleasantly, inwardly say she's a know-it-all, etc, but keep his composure.

Ok wow like I've just noticed most of these stories were centered around Hermione and Snape and how she greatly admires him. What I really wanna know is first, how do people, so many people scheme them in love and to narrow the topic, why she's looking so forward to talking to Snape.
Author's Response: Hi missvelachik, thanks for stopping by to read and review. Personally, I like Hermione/Snape because they are well suited to each other. I think they can relate on many more levels than Hermione could with Ron. If you find you like the pairing, you'll have tocheck out more stories to see how people have fun bringing them together. It often seems to be a relationship that grows out of first: tolerance and then: respect. Anyway, in my story, Hermione thinks she just respects Snape for all he did for the cause, then she finds out he will be her mentor, and that excites her for a couple reasons. On the surface, it is because of the intellectual gratification. As she'll realize soon enough, she's drawn to him for a lot more? Thanks again for reviewing. Loved seeing in character Severus around Harry and Ron and out of character loving Sev around 'Mione

Yes, Severus isn't quite sure how to act in either situation except that he's not ready to be open about their relationship (until he knows it will last). I hope you continue to enjoy the story. So he did see what I thought he did! Yipeee! Although the flirting was most out of character for Severus, I loved it! I don't like Ginny right now but I am glad Harry came around and saw that 'Mione's breakup had nothing to do with him! I cannot wait to read more of Severus' potion making lessons ;)
