Ah good - the happy ending at last!! I wonder what they did with the house? Or had he not actually bought it yet?

*sighs* - and i hope they lived happily ever after! :)

Author's Response: hee- so much for angsty-romance. =) They kiss and make up, yes...

Review: Your summary says it all.
I forgot to mention a couple of chapters ago how much I liked the scene where people could go to the brothel and play out their memories - it was tender, and I wondered if it would make a stand alone fic.

This is a wonderful ending, giving me full recovery from the previous angst attack! Thanks - this is a great story. :)

Author's Response: Hugs you. Thanks!

I peeked at the other reviews. You did a lovely job with a prompt that gave you fits!

Author's Response: you can read the exact words of this pompt.. the irony in this is there was a SS/HG exchange fic where the author had SS crucioing the (dead) corpse of his father...people thought I wrote -that- fic!! LOL I wish I did. =)

Review: Lol! He better not forget he has that Felix Felicis to finish off and deliver. Thanks, honey! It's a very different sort of exchange fic.

Author's Response: This is for an OLD exchange. I listed the prompt. It was assigned to me. I practically cried when I got it, plotting it was extremely hard for me. I would never have written a fic like this. This fic is not so much a romance as a predestined mystery. Drove me nuts this did.

Great story, Droxy. Loved the range of emotions going up and down: angst, sadness, guilt, redemption, and finally, relief! Plus you had the added bonus of posting it all over a short span!

Review: OK, I see how that was something worthwhile, but they are married. It should have been the two of them working on the plan. He let the important part (their marriage, the sex, the casual intimacy) slide while he obsessed. And I know that is part of his psyche, but it is painful. And it is testament to your writing skills that I've gotten all caught up in this.

Author's Response: You are great are forshadowing. Men can be like this. Men equate actions as love, women want time....

It's really heartbreaking that Hermione built up all her evidence and her theories without confronting him along the way (or at least successfully confronting him). And damn Severus for keeping secrets to the detriment of his marriage!

This is moving, imaginative in its use of magic, and a Hermione and Snape I can see as perfectly in character--I thoroughly enjoyed rereading it--thanks for posting it here. I'm adding this to my favorites list.
