This was fantastic. I'm quite impressed with your ability to maintain such delicious duality-balance in all things. Remarkable fic.

oh wow.
This was lovely! I hadn't even considered some of the positions you took on this...
that hermione apologized in her first year or that hermione (could have) seen him leave hogwarts grounds... wow!
The AU was really creepy, the whole thing! It was believeable, though.
Good Job!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it and found it original and credible. Thanks for taking the time to review.

I'm an Italian Wemaster and I keep a site with translated fics. I'm asking permission tio translate your works. I'd like to send you the translations - you can use them and show you have reades all around the world!
In Italy there are few fanfic sites, and mine is diffrent from others because includes at most translations. Your stories are good for this site, the site is Snape angst oriented, not fluff
Sorry for poor english, I'm better in translations !

Author's Response: I'm really honored that you'd ask but I must decline. A translation is in effect a collaboration, and I just don't feel comfortable giving permission when I don't know the language its being translated into and don't know the translator well. But thank you for asking--I'm very aware of all the work it would take, and that you'd even want to do it is a high honor.

Your writing is incredible in both of your works, i hope that you continue with Book of Shadows and that you continue writing in general. I've never found more in-character Hermione and Snape. Excellent stories!

Author's Response: One person's IC is another's OOC and I have the reviews to proove it! I think a lot of different Snapes especially are possible given what we know, but this is how I like to write him and read him. Thanks for the review.

Bloody Hell. I'm speachless. You killed him/them!

Well I can see why the dark world had to end that way, but in the other world... Oh, I suppose it is a likely ending - also in canon, but a girl can hope, right?

Fantastic finish to a job well done. You definately managed to end it just as intriguing as you started it. I was wondering whether you would let the last word be scar. That could have been fun, but I can see it would have been dificult with your premise for an ending.

Author's Response: LOL. I wrote this very early though--over a year ago--its first beta didn't like it and abandoned it, so this only got betaed and posted much more recently. I don't think the "scar" thing was circulating back when I first wrote it. And yes, with the focus on Hermione and Draco at the end, hard to work that in. I did think the Snape in canon will die--which is part of why he did here--and partly for reasons I think JKR will do it. I think it's probably the only way most non-Snapecentric readers will forgive Snape for AD's death--and the best way to make my point in this fic. That the way Snape acts in canon isn't necessarily the road to ambition and survival--but one fraught with risk. And well, given canon!Snape's fate--I didn't want the other one to survive. I didn't want the message to be evil gets you ahead--I actually think it's self-defeating. I don't hold up much hope for Snape's fate on Book 7--but the wonderful thing about fanfic, is that there he can live on and have a brighter future. I'm glad you enjoyed it--thanks for the reviews!

Loved the comment about her looking for an anti-dote in HBP's potion book.

Author's Response: Glad you liked it--that line wasn't in there originally until a beta had a question about what I had originally--so I'm delighted you think that line most worthy of comment in the chapter. Thanks for the review.

The marraige law *lol*. I knew you had it in you to do one of those... Wonder whether he will get the girl in any of the two worlds?

Author's Response: Well, only to get my digs in so to speak--although I do have a couple of favs in that trope--some authors really can spin straw into gold, I still think it's an extremely silly premise--though given some real world laws... Thanks for the review!

This was a surprising development in the alternative world. I thought this was going to be a dark tale, but perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel in this world too? Wonder what happened to Snapes mark though...

Author's Response: As for the ultimate outcome--all will be revealed;-) As for Snape's Dark Mark, in the alt universe, he never became a Death Eater--but as JKR said thru a character--not everyone who's evil is a DE...

Damn, just wrote a review and it disappeared. Anyway, this alternative world makes me shiver. Black gone, Lupin to soon, pettigrew getting away with murder (literaly) and Ron a werewolf! The idea of doing a story like this is really brilliant. I'm - once again - very impressed by you.

Author's Response: Ah, my first review on the new WIKTT Archivews. I'm glad this little story has intrigued you--it was fun thinking of how much grimmer the world might have been if Snape were truly evil and as clever and skilled as canon implies. Thanks for the review
