I really like your opening scenes. It leads me to think Hermione is going to be getting herself into something fairly tricky adventure. It's nice to see her doing something with out the boys for a change.

Interesting beginning. I'm already curious about who she will meet. Not a bad start for a new writer. I'm not very good at giving critic about writing style - as I know nothing about wrtiting except whether it like the style or not. There was a few places where I thought the sentences were a bit "forced" or "artificial" for lack of a better word For instance the sentence "?Constant vigilance? brought her back to her fourth year when the impostor Moody was teaching DADA." For some reason stood out. Everyone who knows this universe will think of Moody, so perhaps this could have been worded less obvious. Having said that I only write this since you asked for feedback on WIKTT. Had you not, I would just have responded that I thought it was an interesting beginning. And that I'm already curious about the next chapter.

I will say that you are right on, that sentance gave my beta's and me a lot of problems, we really struggled with it and I think your right. That said, I'm glad that you are intrigued by the story and I hope we all see improvements as it goes along!

Very, very interesting beginning! I really can't wait to see where this goes. I believe that the thing I love the most (so far) about the story is how it starts out with an e-mail. Muggle technology and the like. I only know of two stories like that. :) So I'm extremely interested to see where this goes, and I love how you mentioned there's going to be a slow build up of feelings between Severus and Hermione. :D Please, please update again soon!
