I recently stumbled across this story, and it has consumed my reading time for the better part of a week. Truly incredible. I normally like more romantic fanfics but this one is just so incredibly written. The descent into madness, while the rest of the world just continues on. I can't stop thinking about it. I'm so glad to see that you're planning a sequel since I can't stand not knowing if Snape will be able to bring Hermione back from her current mental state. You have a phenomenal gift.

You know, bits 'n pieces of story &/or dialogue have been continuously popping into my head at the most inopportune times lately. So much so I just had read this again. It did not disappoint on second reading.
Horrid. Twisted. Thoroughly disturbing in it's darkness & the psychological breakdown of a character. Gut wrenching. Traumatising.
The sign if a truly good & captivating piece of work as it's produced such a visceral response (in this reader anyway). Loved it! Kudos!

I just finished chapter 6, Thus far it seems well written and has my curiosity piqued. I don't dislike it, I find it interesting and wanting to know whats happening. So Far so good. I saw a few spelling errors but all in all very good.

I'm really enjoying the story the further it goes. The characters are much more believable and the plot is becoming more interesting as it progresses. I've enjoyed watching Harry's transformation, and Draco's. However - I'm dying to get past all of this to when they finally find Hermione and work on her rehabilitation. I'm guessing it will be Severus who helps her. It has such promise - that part of the story - and its definitely what I'm most interested in. I don't know if there will really be any sort of romance but I'm hopeful for that.
Author's Response: Oh there will be romance between them, don't worry about that. But first he must put her back together, am not sure whether she will be the same Hermione we all know and love.

I am pretty shocked that Draco did what he did. He's pretty far from Canon Draco for sure. Ugh. I hate him. And I hate Lucius too. Lol. But I suppose that's to be expected.
Author's Response: I had to find a way of destroying Lucius, but didn't know how. This was the best I could come up with. I don't hate anyone in canon, except perhaps Ron and Hagrid.

I enjoyed this chapter - I really liked how Harry approached Snape and I appreciate Snape's response. As for Hermione's mental and physical deterioration - I'm understanding how and why its happened. However - when the scene turns to Hermione there are a variety of tenses used all at once which is distracting to read. But aside from that, kudos to you.
Author's Response: I always thought that if Harry took a moment to think about it, he would realise that Severus was on their side all along.

I'm not quite buying the adults in this story. Excepting of course, Severus. I can understand his opinion of what is going on. I just see Minerva fighting more. And Albus seems a bit OOC. But I am very curious as to where this all leads. =)
Author's Response: It is my own interpretation of the canon characters. Minerva knows to follow Albus as she has done and will continue to do. Severus is in-between a rock and a hard place. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

This was brutal and hard to read. But I can see that it must be important for what is to come later. The creature she appeared to be in the beginning had to be created through horror such as this, certainly.
Author's Response: Yes, I couldn't just say 'She was raped and beaten' and then expect the reader to come up with their own picture. I know it is hard to read, and I congratulate you for sticking with it.
