Oh man, that was totally heartbreaking and depressing as all hell. Poor Hermione to be locked into such a hopeless situation. I'm glad that Severus had some morals left to him after all that has occurred in his life.

Well written--keep up the good work.

Only one criticism: you begin to enclose a word, phrase or what have you with opening quotation marks (") but then end it with an apostrophe ('), when it ought to end in closing quotation marks ("). I thought that you ought to know.
