keep writing ..Is the Selkie that ' got away' related to Professor Snape ? The feeling of alive nature is very strong...and Hermione 's loneliness and Pr. Snape's brilliance and unused warmth and understanding of others.. thiis story is almost 'Celtic ' in it's blurring betwen - the - worlds bravo. do update soon

I'm amazed that you haven't gotten a review yet. This is excellent! I particularly liked the bit about the chalk.
You're doing an excellent job. I wanted to let you know because you seem to have drifted off. lack of encouragement, perhaps? Believe me, I know how it can be to not hear any praise.
I like how you've portrayed Hermione - and getting rid of Ron early on was a plus, even if he does make a reappareance later it's not likely to be more than in passing. I especially like the interaction between Hermione and Severus in this chapter. And I'm loving the mystery of the Selkies.
I look forward to more.
